Check cable size based on EMSD COP 2015, Voltage drop and Copper loss.
This app only considered the Ca, Cg, Ci, and Cd. It will calculate the cable size based on the protective device, voltage drop and copper loss. As the number of grouped cables, protective device current (In) and design current (Ib) will affect the result significantly, I have highlight it in red in the input page.
If you need to check the fault current, it will provide a way to you but the let through energy I²t and the maximum fault current from upstream circuit shall be input by yourself. It is only a reference as the trip time will be different from different brand of protective devices.
Calculation procedure:
1. Selection from the drop down menu and input one by one from Phase to Design Ib.
2. If you need to check the estimated fault current, you may press the cross icon on the right hand side of the “Need to check fault current”. (It is only for reference)
3. Press the right corner menu as it has been hidden in right corner only a red bar shown.
4. After the menu shown, you may press the plus sign to shown full menu.
